| Job Description |

Job Purpose:
Support the Finance Manager in managing the finance department of Maersk Logisitcs with the Credit control function. Preparation of Budgets and analysis of variance to actual results. Ensure Full compliance with the Global container business credit policy
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Support the Maersk Logistics Finance department with information and recommendations for credit releases, A/R decisions, and customer maintenance on a national level.
- Use performance history and future forecasts along with liquidity, debt/asset management, and profitability ratios to assess creditworthiness in evaluation scheme. Continually develop best evaluation methods and tools.
- Assist internal customers like Sales, Finance Department, Operations, and product managers on all issues related to credit management
- Holding of regular credit control meetings and circulation of minutes to senior management.
- Develop and maintain the best relationships with external customers on a national level and follow up effectively for outstanding debts.
- Gather information and evaluate accounts to support decisions regarding initial credit terms and the suspension/reinstatement of credit.
- Manage the information used for the Credit Department. Maintain database, document credit agreements, and electronically file renewals and related documents.
- Carry out detailed debtors account reconciliations with customer accounts.
- Maintenance of list of Black listed customers |

Knowledge & Qualifications:
- Candidates should possess 4-5 years of related experience.
- Very strong communication and presentation skills.
- B.Com
- Chartered Accountancy qualification
- MS Office with emphasis on Excel and Word
- Must be analytical and able to work with detailed account reconciliations.
- Able to work independently on assigned tasks with minimal day to day supervision.
- Prepared to work in a fast paced, deadline oriented environment.
Training/Special Skills Required:
- Negotiating skills, Tact, Ability to convince
- Good inter-personal and communication skills.
- Must be able to work with colleagues in other functions in a solution driven manner. |
