| Job Description |

Job Purpose:
The potential candidate will be responsible for application development primarily using SOA(Service Oriented Architecture) concept and other adaptable emerging technologies to facilitate our line of business. This includes identification of business scenarios, solution design and project management through implementation.
This role requires coordination with the business users supplemented with good technical skills on Microsoft platform.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
1. Application Development
Anticipating need to automate business processes
Identifying process areas where reusable components can be used
Managing vendors to achieve project's objectives
Ensuring tighter control on scope, quality and schedules
Researching alternatives to provide solution for a task-in-hand
.
2. Reporting
Daily and weekly reporting to Area IS BAMMNG on development and support activities.
3. Problem and Incident Management
Ensure all problem tickets are resolved/actioned within 24 hrs
Restoring normal service operation ASAP with minimal impact to the business, once an incident is reported by the Service Desk.
Identifying the root cause of incidents, and taking steps to prevent a reoccurrence of incidents from that source. This will cover converting incidents to known errors.
Removal of known errors affecting the applications
Report all Critical issues to Area IS BAM MNG immediately
4. Change Management
To ensure that changes are planned in a systematic fashion with least impact to the business. This would essentially involve configuration and release management procedures.
5. Monitor outsourced IT development and support staff
Monitor the activities of IT development and support staff by obtaining regular activity report and provide necessary technical assistance and support to them. |

Qualification and Experience
1. Engineer/MCA/Graduate with 5 to 6 years experience in project management, application development and support on Microsoft platform), etc
2. Preference to MCSE/MCP certified
3. Clarity on SOA concept and has implemented atleast 2 full life cycle projects
3. Effective Communication Skills.
4. Interpersonal and Team Building Skills |
